  2nd International Workshop on Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia

Under the direction of Drs. Steven Treon (Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA), Meletios Dimopoulos (University of Athens, Athens Greece), and Robert Kyle (Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN), the Second International Workshop on Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia met in Athens, Greece. The highlight of this conference at which 55 investigators including 6 Young Investigator Award Recipients, representing 32 Medical Centers and 9 nations, were the deliberations of four consensus panels which generated comprehensive guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and management of Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia. Dr. Treon served as the organizing chair for the four consensus panels which empanelled experts on Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia from around the world.
